The Oldest Dam and Reservoir 7Km
Not far from 👑1001- Nights Palace👑 is the oldest dam in Tunisia (Mellègue) with its Arcadian architecture and invites you to a quiet and sunny stay on the lakeside. The lake can also be converted to experience it in all its facets and to relax in nature.
From morning to evening, the lake offers an intoxicating spectrum of nature, let yourself be seduced by the fantastic colours of the sky reflected in the calm lake and by the various shades of green that nature has to offer.
Completed in 1954, it is now used for irrigation, flood protection and power generation. It is a combination of an arch dam and a concrete pillar dam and has a height of 65m and a crown length of 470m.
The top of the wall is 270 m above sea level.

Ruins of Dougga City : 61 Km away
The archaeological site of Dougga (ancient Thugga) covers an area of approximately 70 hectares. Its ruins bear witness to more than seventeen centuries of the city's history, which was founded at the end of the 6th century BCE at the latest. The site forms an exceptional urban complex and is a prime example of the successful blending of different cultures: Numidian, Punic, Hellenistic, and Roman.

Bulla Regia
The archaeological site of Balarijia is located a few kilometers north of the city of Jendouba in the northwest of Tunisia. It is one of the cultural tourism landmarks in this region. The remains and ruins testify to over 17 centuries of history, with the site being founded by the Numidians at the end of the 6th century BCE at the latest. It quickly became a royal residence.

The museum is located in the city of Kairouan, a historic city known for its authentic character and unique architecture.

Al-kasbah Fortress
Al-Kasbah of Elkef was built during the Ottoman rule to protect the city and the surrounding areas from invasions and attacks that threatened the Tunisian border regions. The Ottomans constructed it in the traditional architectural style of the kasbahs, which were fortified strongholds with towers and high walls designed to safeguard the city and its inhabitants.

Al-madina, the ancient city
Wander through the ancient city of Elkef, where historical landmarks and monuments from all eras and religions intertwine. You will encounter Roman water reservoirs and baths, an ancient church dedicated to Saint Peter, and an 18th-century Jewish synagogue that holds great significance among the city's Muslim population. You will also notice the proximity of three cemeteries: Islamic, Christian, and Jewish. The shrine of Sidi Bou Makhlouf, with its ribbed white domes and minaret adorned with green ceramic tiles, remains the iconic symbol of the region.

Village of craft and artisanal arts
It was established in 2006 and includes 45 workshops specializing in various crafts, including: hand weaving and the making of "hayek" (traditional Tunisian garment), carpets (zarbiya), kilims, bedding, "qchabiya" (traditional cloak), silk painting, hand embroidery, and mosaics.

Hammam Mallegue Thermal Station: 46 Km away
Hammam Mallegue is one of the richest geological sites in the world. It contains a layer of black clay dating back to the early Tertiary period, and among its components is the substance "orodium," which supports the theory of a massive asteroid impact on Earth approximately 60 million years ago.

Jojurtha Table: 101 Km away
The Table of Jugurtha is a unique historical site renowned for its natural beauty in Tunisia. What further enhances the charm of this distinctive natural and historical site is its architectural design, shaped like a table. Chemtou Museum
This archaeological complex was inaugurated in 1997 as a result of a fruitful collaboration that began in 1965 between the National Heritage Institute of Tunisia and the German Archaeological Institute in Rome.
This unique complex, the only one of its kind in the Mediterranean basin, covers a total area of approximately 10,000 square meters and includes:
1.The Roman archaeological road that was used for transporting marble.
2.A marble cutting factory dating back to the first half of the 20th century.
3.The museum.

Nibbar Forests
When one mentions the city of Nabeul, they refer to the vast, sprawling forests, the constant greenery, and the mountains covered with pine trees. Among these trees, various types of herbs grow, which are often distilled and used in the production of medicinal drugs. The area of these forests spans 28,250 hectares, and they are home to a variety of animals, including the wild rabbit, tortoise, hedgehog, wolf, fox, and wild boar. There is also a forest nursery at the Wadi Melak Dam, covering 5 hectares, capable of producing 3,500,000 plants annually.
